Maternity and Newborn Photography in Southeast Wisconsin
One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to watch families grow over the years.
This maternity and newborn photography experience started long before baby number three arrived. I first photographed this family during their pregnancy with their first daughter. Since then, I have had the joy of photographing their family again and again.
Now, they have welcomed baby number three. And this time, they added a sweet baby boy to their family of two girls.
There is something incredibly special about photographing the same family through different seasons. I get to see newborns become toddlers. Then I see those toddlers become big siblings and start school. Over time, the kids also become more comfortable in front of my camera. That familiarity makes sessions even more fun.
Spring Maternity Photos at Nagawaukee Park
For their maternity session, we returned to Nagawaukee Park in Delafield, Wisconsin.
This location has an extra special connection to their family because we also photographed maternity photos there for babies one and two. Coming back for baby number three made the session feel like another chapter in their family's story.
The spring setting was beautiful. Green trees and the blue lake created a fresh backdrop for their maternity photos.
Mom wore a beautiful blue dress while dad and the girls wore white. The combination worked perfectly with the colors around us.
Instead of focusing only on traditional maternity portraits, we also captured the girls playing and enjoying time with their parents. Those little moments documented what life looked like before their new baby arrived.
Watertown WI Newborn Photos for Baby Boy
A few weeks later, I got to see the family again for their newborn session at The Loft Collective in Watertown, Wisconsin.
This time, everyone was completely smitten with baby boy.
We captured a variety of lifestyle family photos, sibling portraits, and more traditional posed images. We also created several photographs of baby boy by himself using props and different setups.
For their newborn outfits, mom and the girls wore dresses with pale pink and neutral patterns. Dad wore a white button-up shirt. The soft color palette worked beautifully in the cozy studio environment.
Maternity and Newborn Bundle Photography
